About the event
A resurrection of a Backwoods Cooking Competition where teams of Scouts compete against each other to produce the best meal, the best preparation and wow the judges with their creations. The competition is designed for Scouts to dig fire pits in the grounds at the HQ so prior knowledge of digging fire pits is needed.
There is a maximum limit of 10 teams to compete on the days the competition is on, with one team being announced the winner of the day, and an overall winner of all the teams where a County Trophy will be awarded for 2025. There are plans to make this an annual County event.
The total cost of this event is £50 per Scout Team. This is for the purchase of equipment for the competition and the purchase of firewood. Each Team will have a budget of £30 to buy their food/decorations with. We wi…
